WesternITE has launched a dedicated SB 743 Resources page to support agencies and consultants navigating California’s transition to VMT-focused transportation impact criteria under CEQA. Some of these documents were previously hosted by the Northern California Section, but have now been transitioned over to the District’s website. The resource page includes:
- The ITE Guide to SB 743, developed by the California ITE SB 743 Task Force, tailored for those preparing transportation studies in areas without fully formed regional/local guidelines.
- Statewide data tools, including the California Statewide Travel Demand Model (CSTDM) VMT data and GIS/shapefile map resources.
- Implementation case studies, guidance, and tools from jurisdictions across the state.
Check it out if you’re working on project reviews, transportation planning, environmental documentation, or just want to stay informed about how SB 743 is being put into practice across the various California sections. Please note that the materials are compiled from public sources and documents; as the practice of implementing SB 743 evolves, so too may the details and applicability of these resources.
