Thank you to all of the teams that participated in the MiteY Race at the recent Western District Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, NV!  We kicked off the meeting on Saturday with the 5^th installment of the race with 4 family/friends and 11 student teams completing fun, but challenging tasks within the Miracle Mile of Shops at the Planet Hollywood Resort.

The top family & friends teams were:

• 1^st Place:  MiteY Minions – Mark and Alex Spencer
• 2^nd Place:  Brown and Gold – Rhonda Young and Michelle Edwards
• 3^rd Place:  Kickin’ Aspelins – Karen and Erik Aspelin

The top student teams were:

• 1^st Place:  Traffic Jammers – Leslie Situ and Mario Garcia-Gillespie from Cal Poly Pomona
• 2^nd Place:  The HAWKs – Nicolle Spann and Thomas Aristide from Cal Poly Pomona
• 3^rd Place:  Pistol Petes – Britton Hammit and Brendan Byron from the University of Wyoming

All of the teams were given a playing card at each of the 5 pit stops throughout the race and the team with the best poker hand at the end of the race won our Grand Prize of 2 $50 Amazon gift certificates.  The Grand Prize winners were the Titans student team of Jameson Gorospe and Luis Cardenas from Cal State Fullerton.
