The 2024 Western District Annual Meeting (WDAM) held in Sacramento was a resounding success. The Student Endowment Fund is proud to recognize and support this year’s student award winners, including:

• Region 1 Travel Scholarship Recipient: Keith Kobayashi, OSU
• Region 2 Travel Scholarship Recipient: Lindsey Housinger, USC
• Student Chapter Award: UCLA Student Chapter
• Student Chapter Award Honorable Mention: Cal Poly SLO Student Chapter
• Student Chapter Momentum Award: UW Student Chapter
• James H. Kell Award: USC Student Chapter

In addition to celebrating award recipients, students were actively engaged in events throughout WDAM. Here are some highlights:

James H. Kell Competition: Hosted by the USC Student Chapter, this engaging game (creatively titled “Transitopolis: Building Sacramento’s Future”) brought together students from various chapters to collaborate.

Get Acquainted Social: This social event, open to all attendees, was well attended by students. The social featured a fundraiser for the Student Endowment Fund, complete with a wide variety of prizes for donors. Thank you to everyone who donated to and participated in the fundraiser. Thanks to your support, the fundraiser was a great success.

Student Focused Sessions: Students were able to attend student focused sessions throughout WDAM, including resume and speed interview workshops, panel discussions, and the annual Mite Y Race. Thank you to all of the committees involved in organizing these student events.

We are thrilled that so many students were able to attend and benefit from WDAM. The Student Endowment Fund remains committed to supporting student participation and is excited to see everyone again next year in Long Beach!
