Congratulations and good luck during the election!
It has been eight months since my term as President began. This has been a time of learning, problem solving, team work, planning and meeting new people. As I have stated before, ITE is about the people. I’ve had the privilege of visiting several Sections and Chapters within the Western District and have been privileged to present awards to and recognize individuals who constantly demonstrate support, service and leadership at the local level. These people are indeed the strength of ITE! Please continue to attend meetings, volunteer for service and participate at the local and District levels. It is indeed an honor to work with and to recognize members of the Western District who are making significant contributions and demonstrating leadership service throughout the District. Please let me know if you know of someone who would like to serve the District as the District’s Public Relations Committee Chair.
Our hearts and thoughts go to the people affected due to the earthquake, aftershocks, tsunami, and power plant challenges in Japan. If you would like to donate for relief efforts, please visit the American Red Cross at http://www.redcross.org/
I hope to be able to see all of you in July, 2011 in Anchorage, Alaska. Until then, work hard, love your family, take care of your friends and be kind to yourself.
