I want to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to serve as your President these past two years. It’s been my privilege to meet so many of our members across the District, whether at a local Section meeting, a regional conference, or our Annual Meeting. What I first learned 30 years ago as an ITE student is still true today – the volunteers that serve ITE are a remarkable group. I particularly want to thank all the Board Members and Committee Chairs that I’ve worked with over the past four years. Together we have worked hard on behalf of our members, advancing all of the Western District’s Strategic Plan goals: providing our members a pathway to career development; technical excellence; networking; supporting student initiatives; and promotion of the profession.
Next week we will come together once again for our Annual Meeting in Keystone! Ben Waldman and Aaron Heumann have collaborated with Dale Picha and Susan Langdon of the Texas District and have done a wonderful job organizing our first joint meeting with TexITE. This conference will blend the traditions of both Districts, and everyone attending will be impressed by the robust and diverse technical program, vendor exhibit, opportunities for networking with clients and teaming partners, and the family-friendly social activities. And all of this in the beautiful Rocky Mountains!
I look forward to seeing you in Keystone and many future ITE Western District events!
President, ITE Western District
