This month’s E-News features ITE International election results and an update on their activities, an article from our CA SB743 Task Force (from LOS to VMT, it’s happening in California and will likely happen in other states), a call for volunteers to help our Technical Committee review papers for the Best Paper Award, and a spotlight on a new Student Awards Forum to be help at the upcoming Western and Texas District Annual Meeting in June.
Recently, I was able to attend the 2018 AZ ITE-IMSA Spring Conference in Phoenix along with ITE International President Michael Sanderson, which offered an excellent technical program and vendor exhibit. In addition to the Western District Annual Meeting each summer, this is one of several conferences held by various Sections and Chapters during the year, like the Idaho Chapter Annual Conference, the Intermountain Section Annual Meeting, and the QUAD Conference. These regional ITE conferences provide our members with additional resources for technical learning, career development, and engagement with fellow professionals. Thanks go out to the Arizona Section for the invitation and in particular to Jenny Grote for her continued involvement in ITE and making the arrangements.
