The Palace Hotel, San Francisco is a Landmark Luxury property. Built in 1875 to celebrate the West Coast boom, the Palace Hotel, San Francisco is one of San Francisco's most treasured landmarks. The hotel is located at the Montgomery BART Station in downtown San Francisco, just blocks away from Union Square and Chinatown. From the famed 1909 Maxfield Parrish mural "The Pied Piper of Hamlin" in our Pied Piper Bar to the grandeur of the Garden Court to the sky lit indoor pool, the Palace Hotel captures a timeless sophistication that is as distinct as it is inviting.

Historic Streetcar Video: This is a historic San Francisco streetcar film from April 1906, taken as the streetcar passes The Palace Hotel (at the 3:00 mark of the 7:00 video) along Market Street. The film was shot 4 days before the historic 1906 earthquake and shipped to NY by train for processing.
